It becomes less about what actually occurred and snowballs into some kind of eccentric clout-chasing and one-upmanship. That is really where I think most of the attacks and Extreme Takes come from--theyre the point at where the coil's vortex reaches terminal.
Absolutely frustrating on so many levels.Do that you have any idea on how to counter these happenings? I've been on the lookout for ways to counter them but it is hard should they try and accuse you of something horrid, like being a racist or pedo.
Honestly, I'd say to not engage with folks like that whatsoever. The best way to play is not to play at all. People who spew ad hominen aren't looking for a good discussion. It is just outrage jockies, narcists searching for clout, computer keyboard warriors, or even trolls. Over the years, I have found myself diverting increasingly more away from online discussion and online communities because it's becoming rather bad for one's mental health. The tribalism, petty drama, and degeneration can be particularly taxing. Talking to individuals in communities that you enjoy beyond the internet like at conferences or team meet ups, is a fantastic way to produce new positive connections with individuals and can allow you to express yourself with less fear of the way the"keyboardists" will react and judge you.
